Bajrour village in Hoshiarpur is home to the revered Gurudwara Harian Vellan Patshahi VII. The Hoshiarpur-Garhshankar Road is exactly 14 kilometres from the Hoshiarpur Railway Station. Dedicated to the seventh Sikh guru, Har Rai Ji, this temple stands as a place of worship. This is where Guru Sahib rode in with an army of 2,200 equestrians. The man who was his most devoted follower, Baba Prajapati Ji, invited him to remain with him. This home was demolished to make way for the Gurudwara.

When his parents pleaded with Guru Sahib to let him return home and be married, he stayed with Guru Gobind Singh ji for many years.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Ji, the oldest son of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, has ties to Gurudwara Sahib Shaheedan, Ladhewal. Hakam Jabar Khan, the owner of Bassi at the time, had a history of committing atrocities against Hindus and kidnapping their women. A poor Brahmin named Devi Das had his wife abducted by him once. In Anandpur, the Brahmin found sanctuary at Guru Gobind Singh Ji's feet. Sahibzada Ajit Singh ji was dispatched by Guru Sahib with an army of 200 courageous Sikh troops to liberate Jabar Khan's wife.

Gurudwara Pulpukhta Sahib

Revered place of worship
Hoshiarpur is home to the well-known Gurudwara Pulpukhta Sahib. It's close to the Tanda train station in Pulpukhta, on Tanda-Hargobind Road. There is a shrine here since the sixth Sikh guru, Har Gobind Sahib Ji, came here and remained for a while. The Guru Sahib's horse was tethered to a Tahli tree log on the banks of Kali Bein. This led to the area becoming known as Tahli Sahib as well. This wooden relic has been carefully stored within the sarovar of this Gurudwara sahib for many years.
