Legend has it that Lord Rama dug out a sweet-water well with his arrow, right beside the ocean to quench Goddess Sita’s thirst, hence the name Villoondi–meaning buried bow.

What To Expect?
Talk a long walk across the bridge extending to the ocean, at the end of which stands the sweet-water well. You can also visit the small temple here.
