Badal Mahal, or the Palace in the Clouds, is perched above Kumbhalgarh Fort. There are two stories in this palace, and the structure itself is split into two halves, the Mardana Mahal and the Zanana Mahal, which are linked but stand on their own. Pastels were popular in the 19th century, therefore many of these palaces decorated their interiors with murals in that style. The stone jalis that tourists can view at the Zanana Mahal were used by the queens to observe judicial sessions.
Suggested Duration - 2 to 3 hours
