Overview

King Rana Kumbha commissioned the construction of the Mammadev Temple in 1460. Having four slabs, the temple can be found in a crypt beneath the Kumbhalgarh Fort. The history of Mewar is engraved on the slabs for visitors to read. From the time of Guhil till the reign of Rana Kumbha, the long history of this region is chronicled here.

Tips

  • This temple is accessible from 9 AM to 5 PM from Monday to Saturday. It remains closed on Sunday.
  • Wear modest clothes while visiting the temple.
