Visit the Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA) Sports Ground

Located in the East of Perth, the cricket ground was established about 130 years ago and has played host to some of the most enthralling matches ever since. With continued development over the years, the stadium can now accommodate about 24,500 cricket fans rooting for the spirit of the game. It is often referred to as Western Australia’s ‘Home of Cricket’.

Though nothing beats the joy of relishing a live match from the stands here, there’s plenty much to do even when there’s no ongoing game. You can take a ground tour and walk on the pitches that stood witness to so many cricket matches, roam around in the stands, and come face to face with the history of cricket in Western Australia at the in-house museum. They house a store to shop for some fun cricket goodies too!

Hit the Perth Stadium

The Perth Stadium opened its doors to enthusiastic sports fans in 2018. With a capacity to host 60,000 sports lovers, the stadium soon became a hotspot for international cricket matches and rugby games. Located by the beautiful Swan Lake, the stadium is nothing short of a splendid sight. Lauded for its fan-first design and state-of-the-art architecture, the technology used at Perth Stadium leaves no stones unturned to offer the ultimate game-viewing experience to its patrons. You can elevate your experience further by enjoying the events at the luxurious Victory Lounge or the Private Suites.

Make sure you tour the stadium if a live match is not planned at the time of your travel. Get into behind-the-scenes of the stadium’s architecture and explore the encircling beauty before making your way to the green field and magnum stands. If you’re tired of the long strolls in the stadium, worry not! The in-house City View Café is here to satisfy your cravings with its mouth-watering food and mesmerising views of East Perth.
