You will love Batignolles for its old-school, vintage-y vibe, artistic history, English gardens, fashionable restaurants, amazing bakeries and traditional markets. Ranked among "The Most Beautiful Villages of France", Noyers-Sur-Serein is located in the heart of Burgundy. This pretty village charms its visitors with half-timbered houses and medieval arcades. Throughout its tempestuous history, it remained a wine growing village, and even today, some cellar doors open directly onto the street. A win-win for all the wine lovers! The stone houses lining the cobbled streets and the archways made of wood and stone are totally Instagram-worthy. Take a walk outside the fortified walls along the banks of river Serein and soak in its historic ambience.
Did you know? The castle of Noyers-Sur-Serein was built in the 11th century by the lords of the town and was enlarged and fortified in the 13th century. It was completely destroyed in 1599 by the orders of King Henry IV, and today only its ruins remain.
Must-Visit Places: Town Hall of Noyers and Church of Noyers.

A small village in the quiet countryside of south-west Brittany, Rochefort-en-Terre is located between Vannes (to the West) and Redon (to the East), and counted among the most beautiful villages in France. Some medieval houses are elevated from the road level with steep steps, and their terraces are decorated with geranium and pansy plants. The streets are dotted with artists and craftsmen like potters, candle makers and incredible artisan biscuit makers. If you wander around the pretty streets and picture-perfect squares, you will witness a mix of architectural styles from the 16th century. Half-timbered buildings like the Café de la Pente, and symmetrical stone-made Renaissance structures like the post office in Rue Notre Dame de la Tronchaye, will leave you mesmerised.
Must-Visit Monuments: Castle of Rochefort-en-Terre, Church Notre-Dame-de-la-Tronchaye and Wayside Cross of Rochefort-en-Terre.
Distance from Paris: Approx. 4 hours 40 minutes
This beautiful village is perched on a cliff, 300 feet above river Lot. With gorgeous stone buildings and brown tiled roofs that date back to the 13th and the 16th century, Saint-Cirq Lapopie is a sight to behold. It is home to thirteen historical sites and monuments and has successfully conserved its heritage. The village also offers incredible views of the valley and features quaint cafes, restaurants and shops, under the shade of gothic arches. It is also home to many artists and artisans with small shops and boutiques in the centre.
Must-Visit Places: Bouziès, a small village, just a few minutes away from Saint-Cirq Lapopie.
