Paris’ first digital art museum, L’Atelier des Lumières, has brought Vincent van Gogh’s famous paintings to life. The paintings have been projected on the walls, ceilings and floors… allowing you to step inside them. With this unmatched new addition to the attractions in Paris, you need to plan a trip to this magnificent “City of Lights” soon!

Van Gogh, Starry Night is an immersive show displaying more than 2000 pictures painted by the legendary Dutch artist, complimented by Luca Longobardi’s music. This production by Gianfrancu Ianuzzi, Renato Gatto and Massimiliano Siccardi, spellbinds the visitors with the larger than life show. Opening a window into the painter’s life, and displaying different phases of his life – starting from his stints in Paris, the Netherlands and other European cities, and eventually leading to the time he spent in an asylum. His portraits, self-portraits, landscapes and still-lifes are dominated by bold colours. The evolution of van Gogh’s paintings gives an insight of the artist’s emotional and poetic life, over the years. van Gogh’s masterpieces are transformed into moving images at this brilliant visual and musical show.

Dreamed Japan, Images of the Floating World

This short programme featuring Japanese art is played between the screenings of ‘Van Gogh, Starry Night’, and highlights van Gogh’s fascination with Japan. He studied and bought Japanese prints from the art dealer Siegfried Bing, in Paris. Moreover, the use of lines, colours and compositions in his work was highly influenced by the Japanese culture. This Danny Rose Studio production provides an outlook of the richness and diversity of the beautiful country, displaying the ethereal beauty of cherry blossoms, geishas and samurai warriors, along with the amazing music by Claude Debussy; This show is for people from all generations.
