Things To Do in Manali:

• Explore the Town on Foot: Manali is best explored on foot. The bus will drop you right at the main Manali market from where you can take a half-an-hour walk up to Vashist or Old Manali with its lovely roads, sweet little eateries and small kitschy marketplaces (sentence is long. You can break it up into two. Also, you can reach Old Manali by walking through Van Vihar National Park, which is populated with Deodar trees). Else, you can also take an auto-rickshaw to these places.
• Biking Across Manali: Bike rentals are available at reasonable rates. You can get a good bargain if you rent for two or more days. It’s the best way to explore the surroundings and the nearby Solang Valley. We rented one and took it all the way to Rohtang Pass and returned by evening.​
• Solang Valley: Roughly 14 kilometres from Manali, the drive up to Solang is picturesque. Once you are there, try adventure activities like? or eat Chinese food from the local roadside shacks. ​
• Tibetan Monasteries: Built by the Tibetans and other followers of Buddhism, the monasteries are a great place to witness the Buddhist culture. Popular monasteries include the Manali Gompa, Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa and the Himalayan Nyingamapa Gompa.​
