First opened in 1947, Florida’s Weeki Wachee Springs is the only place where one can witness the majestic beauty of half-fish half-human creatures frolicking underwater in large tanks using underwater air hose techniques.

Watching the mermaids flip around underwater is a spellbinding experience. The Mermaid perform two shows, The Little Mermaid and Mermaid Tails amidst other animals including turtles, fish and occasionally alligators! This theme park is an hour away from Tampa after which you need to follow the winding road through the small town. Enjoy the wonder of the two live shows along with water slides, a lazy river and white-sand beaches.

The live-mermaids perform their own version of Hans Anderson’s Little Mermaid! No your eyes aren’t deceiving you. The Little Mermaid comes face to face with her prince and falls in love after which she makes a deal with the wicked sea witch in exchange for the Little Mermaids melodious voice. A fierce battle then begins between the prince and the sea witch to express his love for her. Not only does this show make you believe in fairy tales, but also takes you down memory lane.

The second show is an enchanting performance of Mermaid Tails where mermaids perform unimaginable feats underwater including eating and drinking! Not only this, but for those of you who are interested in knowing how this is possible, the mermaids also give you an underwater virtual tour of the technical aspect involved!

Timings: 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m. & 3:00 p.m.

Theaters open 30 minutes prior to the show, in order to get good seats make sure you reach early.
