Day 1: Paris - City Tour

The best way to see the main attractions of Paris is to take an organised tour of the city. But there are many different ways to see the ‘city of lights’. The Hop on-Hop off bus takes you on an organised tour of the city, allowing you to get off and spend time at an attraction and then get back on to the next bus and move on. The other way to see the city is to get hold of a tourist map and take the metro rail, which is quite easy to navigate. Another great Way to tour the city is to cycle you way around on the Vélib, the public bicycle sharing system of Paris.

Visit the iconic Eiffel Tower, Napoleon’s Tomb, the Louvre, which houses the Mona Lisa, Paris’ famous garden - Jardine des Tuileries, the Conciergerie prison  where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned, the majestic Notre Dame Cathedral, Palais et Jardin du Luxembourg, which is Paris’ second largest public garden and the Panthéon, modelled after its Roman counterpart. Enjoy the lively atmosphere of the Latin Quarter, Jardin du Palais Royal – the royal palace, drive down the Champs Elysées, visit the Arc De Triomphe and Place de la Concorde, apart from other attractions. Exploring the city yourself has its own charm and getting ‘lost’ can be the most memorable experience!
