#BloggerContest: Hyatt Regency for an Impromptu Indulgence!

I was born with wings and travel is undoubtedly my first love. Whether I need a stress buster or want to celebrate certain special occasions with my little sonny and coveted cozy moments with hubby darling, I always love flying down to my favourite luxury resorts and hotels for some awesome family time, fun and rejuvenation. The idea of an impromptu vacation always excites me the most, more so if I can club in a surprise with it for my loved ones and weave some precious memories.

This dates back to the time when hubby dear was abroad for an official assignment and it was our longest separation by far (more than a month!). He was returning on a Friday and had a meeting in Delhi due to which he was to reach Pune a couple of days late, which was heart-breaking for me and my little munchkin who had been longing to hug his dad. I thought of scripting a little surprise for the two loves of my life and immediately took to my favourite website (MakeMyTrip) and looked for flights and hotels in NCR. My eyes fell upon Hyatt Regency, Gurgaon which was offering awesome suites at a great price during that period. With my instincts strongly indicating that it was going to be one amazing vacation at this exotic property, I immediate booked it with MMT's easy to navigate app on my mobile.

The very next morning, we flew to Delhi and surprised daddy and sonny darling at the airport from where we drove to Hyatt Regency, which looked like a seamless blend of grandeur and comfort woven together.

At the entrance, we were greeted with extreme warmth and prompt service, and were awe struck by the visual extravaganza at the reception. It was now my turn to get surprised – the hotel  offered to upgrade our room to the King Suite for a nominal extra charge and threw in some unlimited offers at the lounge for a special evening for the two of us. I guess they knew how to strike the right chords with their guests and set the mood. My precious half who has full trust both in me and his one stop destination for all national and international travel and hotel booking needs since 2001 – MMT, was sure that like always, we would get the best deal and value for our money. He did not ask any questions but his soft million dollar smile upon reaching this luxurious venue was enough gratification for my efforts. 

We were finally in our King Suite, which was truly classy, exotic and huge with a personal Jacuzzi. The personalised experience which the suite offered stole my heart at the first glance. I was still admiring it when a warm hug by hubby overwhelmed me with emotions because it felt as if I was hugging him after what seemed like a millennium. Our little buddy wanted to have some fun so we jumped on the bed and he enjoyed a couple of pillow fights with daddy dearest, post which we decided to go for a swim. The swimming pool was vast with pristine blue waters and soaking in it helped us unwind.

The evening was a magical experience at the hotel’s state-of-the-art lounge. We spent private quality time with awesome food and drinks, and candid heart-to-heart talks after weeks of missing each other. The experience brought us so much closer. Moments like these soothe the heart with unparalleled warmth and love, and we satiated our craving of playing with each other's tresses and fingers (our favourite pastime – oops!).

After the romantic rendezvous, we picked up our little peanut from the indoor games room and strolled across the facility, cracking jokes and bursting into laughter. For dinner we tried the in-room dining facility and it was difficult to zero upon the final order from the huge a-la carte menu. The food was lip-smacking and the chefs tried their best to make everything to our taste. When we found a dish a little too spicy, they were happy to make a less spicy version for us. The courtesy they extended was impressive. Love was truly in the air for us and probably for everyone around too.

The breakfast buffet the next morning was elaborate and we enjoyed it to the core. From croissants to dosas, you name it and they had it. The head of this facility, a European guy, personally walked up to us to check if we were enjoying our stay and if he could do anything to enhance our experience.

After a heavy breakfast, we enjoyed the huge Jacuzzi in our room while watching some timeless classics (my favourite old songs) which played on the LCD in the shower room. It was so relaxing and rejuvenating.

Even though we stayed there only for a couple of days, we still treasure each moment of one of the most ideal mini vacations of our life at Hyatt Regency, Gurgaon. I especially remember trotting in and out of its spa and fine dining. We look forward to many more such stays there and at other awesome properties enlisted on our favourite travel portal – MMT.
