What to See

What to Do

Go snorkelling amongst the mesmerising corals and you’ll see marine diversity like nowhere else. There are several dive shops so you can go scuba diving here or opt for some outstanding cavern diving at the Ko Ha Yao islands close by. You can also take customised day trips or camping trips to nearby islands or hop on a speedboat to Hin Daeng and Hin Muang from where you could catch a glimpse of whale sharks and manta rays. Krabi is very close to Phuket and can make a great base if you want to explore other islands in the vicinity including Phi Phi’s Bamboo Island – a picture-perfect paradise on earth. Krabi’s only national park – Khao Phanom Pencha National Park – is full of untouched forests, waterfalls, streams and caves, not to mention a variety of flora and fauna. After you’ve had your fill of the natural beauty on offer, visit Krabi Town for a spot of shopping and more attractions such as the Tiger Cave Monastery and Shell Fossil Cemetery.
