With the Air India web check-in facility, passengers no longer have to wait in long queues at airports. This service is available for passengers travelling in all the classes of Air India flights. For this online service, you only require a PC or laptop and an internet connection along with a printer.

All you have to do for web check-in for an Air India flight is follow these simple methods:

  1. Visit MakeMyTrip and login with your credential.
  2. Hover on top of the Manage Your Trip option and click on web check-in.
  3. From the two options, click on the E-ticket number/Booking reference option.
  4. You can either provide your 13-digit e-ticket number or your booking reference number.
  5. Select the date, enter the name of the departure airport and click on the option called Continue.

Air India’s online check-in facility is available from 48 to two hours prior to flight departure. You should also know that this Air India online check-in facility will only provide seats if they exist.

Upon selecting your desired seat in any domestic Air India flight from the seat plan provided in the website, your boarding pass will be issued once the seat is confirmed.

You can take a printout of the boarding pass wherever it is convenient for you. When you head to the airport, do not forget to take a valid photo ID of you along with this boarding pass. You can head straight to the airport with your hand baggage. For your check-in baggage, you would have to reach the airport early, even if you have the boarding pass printed out during the Air India online checking process.

Also, with the web check-in of Air India, you can book seats up to nine passengers. Children also counted as passengers.
