Ancient temple dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali
One of the ten major forms of the Supreme Goddess in Hindu cosmic mythology is known as Goddess Bhadrakali. The Bhadrakali temple in Warangal is dedicated to this god of passion and fury, who also serves as a defender of goodness against evil. The temple is said to be built around 625 A.D, during the reign of the Chalukyan monarchs. In addition to its history and mysticism, the majestic temple is also attractive due to its picturesque rock formations and huge lake, which contribute to the area's evident spiritual tranquilly.
Suggested Duration - 1 to 2 hours
Visitors can choose to go boating or simply take in the huge expanse and the gentle breeze. Tourists are drawn to the Bhadrakali temple primarily because, in contrast to most other temples in South India dedicated to the Goddess and her many avatars, this temple's deity lacks a serene and tranquil aura. The temple contains a statue of the mother goddess Kali from Hindu mythology, who is equipped with weapons in each of her eight arms and is seated with a crown on her head. The temple is built in the magnificent Chalukyan architectural style. The Bhadrakali temple, which has roots in both Indian history and mythology, draws hundreds of tourists each year.
