Nestled in the Western Ghats, the Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary is a biodiversity hotspot located in the Kodagu (Coorg) district of Karnataka. Spread over 181 square kilometres, this sanctuary is named after the Brahmagiri Peak, its highest point. The sanctuary is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, making it a paradise for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.

The sanctuary is also home to the Iruppu Falls, a major tourist attraction. According to local legend, the falls were created by Lakshmana, the brother of Lord Rama, to quench the thirst of the latter. The falls are also a popular spot for picnics.
Nearby attractions include the Nagarhole National Park, Iruppu Falls, and the Rameshwara Temple.
The best time to visit Coorg& sanctuary is during the cooler months of November to March.
Apart from wildlife spotting, visitors can enjoy trekking, bird watching, and photography. The sanctuary also offers guided tours and safaris.
Being a wildlife sanctuary, there's no conventional nightlife. However, the sanctuary offers night safaris, which provide a unique opportunity to observe nocturnal animals in their natural habitat.
There are no restaurants within the sanctuary, but visitors can find local eateries in the nearby towns of Srimangala and Kutta.
