Overview

Declared as a National Park in 1993, the Intanki Wildlife Sanctuary in Kohima is stretched in an area of more than 200 km sq. The park is nestled in lush greenery with amazing views of the valley ahead. You’ll come across various plant and animal species here.

Apart from the Golden Langur, other exotic wildlife species here include Hoolock gibbon, Palm civets, Tiger, Sloth bear, Wild dogs, Flying squirrel, Black stork, Monitor lizard, Python etc, all co-inhabiting in the vast equatorial forest.
