A Scenic Trek
Situated among the Sahyadri ranges and located at height of 5,400 feet, Kalsubai is the highest peak in Maharashtra and offers panoramic views of the area.

Start off the trek from Bari village with a Hanuman shrine and make your way up the mountains as you cross streams, fields and forests. It's a moderately tough trek but once you reach the top, the sweeping vistas will be worth it!
Kalsubai Peak, fondly known as the 'Everest of Maharashtra', is the highest peak in the state, standing tall at an impressive 1,646 metres. Nestled in the Western Ghats, it's approximately 180 kilometres from Mumbai. The name 'Kalsubai' is derived from a local legend about a housemaid named Kalsu, who is believed to have escaped to the mountain to attain freedom. The peak is famous for its breathtaking views, challenging trek, and the Kalsubai temple at the summit.
