Sacred Hindu temple
Sivanmalai Temple is set about 5 kilometres from Kangeyam in the Tirupur district. Lord Murugan is the patron god of this temple. Each year during the Thaipoosam festival, the temple is flooded with worshippers due of its fame. Also, three days of celebration are dedicated to cars at the annual "Thearotam" festival.

A road leads up to the hill where the temple is situated, or visitors can take the 450 or so stairs from the bottom of the hill. This temple is well-known for its annual Shasti festivities.
