After my last blog post on budget restaurants in London, join me as I talk about the top 7 fine dining Indian restaurants in this exciting city. Brimming with elegance and class, these restaurants with their plush interiors are the perfect place to enjoy a delicious Indian meal with a loved one.

With their unique menu which goes beyond conventional Indian food, a meal at these restaurants proves to be an experience in itself. Though be prepared to part with those pounds, as a meal here can prove to be a little heavy on the pocket.

1. The Cinnamon Club

The Cinnamon Club is one of London’s most posh restaurants and you need to step inside to know why. The building which houses the restaurant is a Grade II listed Victorian building and was once a library. Complete with a high ceiling, a gallery lined with books and crisp table linen, everything about The Cinnamon Club spells opulence.

Not your usual Indian restaurant, The Cinnamon Club serves innovative delicacies such as Lamb and Beetroot Curry with root vegetables, Sliced Veal Escalope with toasted coriander seasoning and Fish Fillet cooked in coconut cream flavoured with ginger and turmeric. If you’re an early riser, try their breakfast menu which features Spicy Bombay Scrambled Eggs served with flaky Paranthas, or South Indian Uttappam or Upma. The Cinnamon Club is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with friends or family.

With an ever-evolving menu, Veeraswamy believes in surprising their patrons’ taste buds. 6. Moti Mahal
