Jhajjar

A lush green city in Haryana, Jhajjar, is a famous and attractive town. In 1997, on July 15th, the Rohtak district was split off to establish the new town. Chhaju is credited with founding the city now known as Chhajunagar. The town was renamed Jhajjar at a later time. Jharnaghar is the name of a natural fountain, according to the alternative explanation. Another theory is that the town was named Jhajjar because it was formerly home to a ship that carried water. This area is growing as a popular tourist destination thanks to its kind residents, abundant greenery, local traditions and customs as well as food and entertainment.

Beri Mandir

Beri Mandir

Sacred Hindu temple
The settlement of Beri in the Jhajjar area is where the Beri Mandir can be found, thus the name. The temple is home to a statue of Bhimeshwari Devi. Lord Krishna reportedly requested that Bhim bring their kuldevi (family deity) to the battle of Kurukshetra so that they might pray to her for success. So Bhim went to the goddess's home on the mountain Kinglay and asked her to join him on the battlefield. The goddess granted his wish, but only on the condition that he would safely transport her in his lap. Under a beri tree, he put the goddess to rest so he could focus on the trip.
