I started my journey from Jaipur with Bhupendra, with very little money at our disposal—yes, we were off to Himachal, on a budget trip.
We boarded a bus from Delhi, and reached Dalhousie the next day. On reaching we got to know that the road from Dalhousie to Khajjiar (uor destination) was blocked due to snowfall. We thus hired a cab and took a longer route of about 76 km. After a 3-hour drive, we finally reached Khajjiar. It was extremely cold. After taking rest for a while, we head out to explore the famous frozen lake, known as the Switzerland of India. While we were walking towards the lake, which was about 15 minutes away, I experienced the first snowfall in my life!

As getting a fab photoshoot done was a part of our trip plan, I had to put on a really heavy dress.
I had a tough time removing my woollens during the cold storms and snowfall, but somehow i controlled myself and managed to complete the shoot.
Paranthas, Maggie and tea are life saviors in cold places! For the two days we stayed there, we survived on those.
Our next stop was Dalhousie, which was absolutely beautiful as usual! On reaching, we took a taxi to our GoStops hostel. The hostel was beautiful and farther away from the main city. It was worth staying outside the city because there was no crowd and the views of the valley were amazing.
At night the hostel was not serving food, so we had to walk in the hills to find a place to eat. As there was no electricity, it was a little scary. We used our phone torches for light than, and finally reached hotel Aamod for dinner. The staff was quite warm there.
In the morning we continued our shoot in hostel, and then left for Dharamshala. We took a local bus at around 1:30 pm that was going to drop us at Dharamshala, because from Dharamshala we had our bus to Manali.
We reached Dharamshala around 7 pm, and our next bus was scheduled at 11 pm. So we went to a local mall that was full of tourists, and watched a movie there.
When we reached Manali the next day, we witnessed a very heavy snowfall. We managed to get a cab to our hotel, Holiday Heights, that was booked on MakeMyTrip itself. The hospitality at the hotel was amazing and we really liked our room. The view from our balcony was mesmerising too
For the shoot, we had planned to go to the Hidimba Temple. Before the Hidmiba Temple, we also came across a garden with tall trees and did our shoot there too.
I also enjoyed a yak ride there.
Manali was so beautiful during that time! Everything was covered in snow – trees, houses, roads and everything else. I never seen this kind of beauty in my life before.
We went to mall road from Hidimba Temple It from cab and it took around 100rs.
