My Breath-Taking Vacation into the Hills Post Lockdown!

After the much awaited unlock regulations were made effective, we gathered the courage to travel to Himachal for a 5-6 days’ holiday. After lock down, it was our first trip in unlock 1. We travelled by my car as it felt more safe and comfortable, and it seemed to be the best way to maintain social distancing while travelling.

We booked an ‘Airbnb in hills’ package and stayed in Manali to experience the beauty around. From waking up early and witnessing a breath-taking view of the sunrise to sipping on a cup of hot tea while enjoying the sunset, every experience here was worthwhile. We found some secret places in the mountains like River Forest café and Bijli Mahadev temple. These places are hardly explored by tourists. We had to trek for hours through the beautiful mountains to reach these stunning destinations. I must say Himachal took away my heart this time.

This picture was shot at an empty location where I could get rid of my mask and breathe in some fresh air. It reminds me of the times when travelling was so convenient for us. Things were so easy then. I remember I would travel around so freely pre-COVID.

You can see the brilliant Atal Tunnel behind me in this photograph. Witnessing this tunnel in the mountains fitted with best of class technology was like seeing wonders through my eyes.

Oh, how can I forget this picture? This was the place where I started my YouTube channel by the name Ajju 0008 and dreamt of achieving a new life. I’m fortunate to have visited these exceptional beauties of my country. What more could I have asked for?

And look at the magnificence of Himachal. We were so blessed to have such stunning locations around us. The splendid things I experienced on this trip will last with me forever.

After this amazing trip to Manali, we were so excited that we immediately agreed upon going on another trip soon. So, now we are planning to visit Gulmarg this December.
