Popularly known as the Kandla Port, this is a preferred holiday destination for families in Gujarat. Located near Gandhidham, Kanlda used to serve as the primary seaport of western India. Visit the birth place of Mahatama Gandhi, which is also believed to the the birthplace of Lord Krishna’s beloved friend Sudama. Porbandar is a quaint beach town featuring temples, shrines, wildlife spots and dams. This city has a significant share of mythology and history associated with it, offering all its visitors a myriad of attractions. Walk through the corridors of Kirti Mandir, the ancestral home of Mahatma Gandhi and visit the beautiful Sudama Mandir while here.
Situated between Ahmedabad and Vadodara, 6 km from the town of Anand, Vidyanagar is known as the instructive center point of Gujarat. Learn about the gradual evolution of the world’s biggest co-operation movement led by Dr Verghese Kurien by building Amul at Anand. The Amul dairy co-operative museum is the primary sightseeing destination in Vidyanagar. The museum is built with red stones and surrounded with water bodies. The pathway to the gallery is adorned with numerous photographs depicting the evolution of the movement into the advanced contemporary history. Vidyanagar is also home to the popular Birla Vishwakarma Mahavidyalaya and Sardar Patel University. While here, you can also embrace spirituality at the Iskcon temple.
