Here are a few quick facts about Ladakh to make your travel safe and easy. Ladakh is a Hills & Mountains destination. The best time to visit Ladakh is March, April, May, June and July. Since this is the peak season expect a little crowd during this time. August, September and October period experiences moderate weather. So, you can easily avoid facing a large gathering.

In peak season you can expect chilly winds and medium to heavy rainfall during monsoons, whereas in off-season, tourists expect heavy snowfall with most of the roads closed due to the extreme temperatures. In moderate seasons, most of the expectation is cool and comfortable weather with clear skies. In Ladakh, the festivals of Saka Dawa Festival, Hemis Festival, Ladakh Festival and Losar Festival are celebrated when a large number of tourists flock together. The festivals are celebrated in the month of June, July, September and December respectively. So, if you are fond of bustling streets and localities, choose this time of the year to travel.
