Adalaj Stepwell, located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is a stunning example of Indian stepwell architecture. Built-in the 15th century, during the reign of the Vaghela dynasty, this stepwell served as a vital water source and a community gathering place. It was designed by the renowned architect Vaghela Rana Veer Singh. It is a five-story structure with beautifully carved niches, columns, and balconies. The stepwell not only served the practical purpose of water storage but also offered a respite from the scorching heat during summers.
