Originally known as Anand Bhavan (abode of bliss), the house belonged to Motilal Nehru, an Indian politician. It was donated to the Indian National Congress party in 1930 when it was renamed Swaraj Bhavan (abode of freedom).

What To Expect?

Check out the 42 rooms of the house bearing memorabilia and belongings of the Nehru family including a charkha that was used by Mahatma Gandhi. Oh, and don’t miss visiting the planetarium!

  • The timings are 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. except Mondays.
  • The entry is free for Indian nationals and INR 50 for the foreign visitors.
