Here are a few quick facts about Kullu to make your travel safe and easy. Kullu is a Hills & Mountains destination. The best time to visit Kullu is April, May and June. Since this is the peak season expect a little crowd during this time. October, November, December, January, February and March period experiences moderate weather. So, you can easily avoid facing a large gathering.

In peak season you can expect lush valleys, a swollen Beas because of the melting snow, pleasant weather and a rush of tourists, whereas in off-season, tourists expect rain and problems in going out. Landslides can cause some roads to be shut. In moderate seasons, most of the expectation is snowfall followed with bouts of crisp sunshine, lesser crowd and cleaner places. In Kullu, the festivals of Shamshi Virshu Fair, Pipal Jatra and Mela Bhuntar are celebrated when a large number of tourists flock together. The festivals are celebrated in the month of April, April and June/July respectively. So, if you are fond of bustling streets and localities, choose this time of the year to travel.
